OLLU defines a transfer student as anyone who has graduated high school, or earned a GED, and successfully completed 12 or more academic college-level credit hours at the time of application. You are not considered a transfer student if you earned your credits through Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Dual credit, concurrent enrollment, early college credit courses, and courses taken the summer immediately following high school graduation.

Apply as a transfer student if you are in the process of completing 12 hours but won’t complete them until the semester is over. You will, however, be required to submit your official high school transcript for admission and financial aid purposes.
For automatic admission, the cumulative GPA requirement is 2.25 on 12 hours or more. Students with a GPA below 2.25 will undergo a review by an admission representative.

If you wish to transfer credits from an out-of-state institution, contact an OLLU admission representative for assistance. OLLU accepts all college-level academic credit taken at an accredited college or university except courses that are remedial, developmental or vocational in nature.
Absolutely! Scholarship eligibility starts with a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.0 with awards ranging from $8,500 to $15,000 per year for two years. With nearly 95% of students receiving some form of scholarship or federal aid, OLLU is very generous with its award packaging.
It depends. If they were taken at an accredited college or university, and if they have equivalents at OLLU, then it’s highly likely we will accept them. GPA also plays a critical role. OLLU makes every effort to ensure that college courses, whether they were taken last year or last century, are accepted into your degree plan.
It depends. Credit earned via military service will be evaluated for academic credit by OLLU at the time of the application for admission. Your Joint Services Transcript is not required for admission purposes.
