Steps for Applying for Financial Aid
Create a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID)
The FSA ID can be created at the following site:
https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
Note: The FSA ID has replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN and must be used to log in to all U.S. Department of Education websites.
Complete your FAFSA
Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using your tax return information (or your parent's tax return information if you are a dependent student) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa .
- Be sure to list OLLU's School Code (003598) on the FAFSA so we can electronically download and have access to your information.
- We recommend that you apply early. To ensure that your financial aid will be processed by the start of the fall semester, we recommend that you apply no later than May 1.
- The 2025-2026 FAFSA is for fall 2025 to summer 2026.
- The 2024-2025 FAFSA is for fall 2024 to summer 2025.
Submit any supplemental information
Every student applying for financial aid must understand all rules and regulations regarding financial aid. Please complete the Financial Aid Data Form 2025-2026 for fall 2025 to summer 2026.
The OLLU Financial Aid Office will review your submitted items and possibly ask you for additional information. You should return all additional requested information as soon as possible.
Award Notice
We will send you a notice of the many types of financial aid we can offer you. Once you review the offer, we invite you to come into our office and let us counsel you on your awards. Financial aid will be applied to your bill once you are registered for classes.
If you choose to accept a Federal Direct Loan award, first-time borrowers at OLLU will need to complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.studentaid.gov .
