Flight School
Saints Flight School is a four-day summer enrichment program designed for incoming, first-year students that provides the opportunity to experience OLLU in a more intimate setting before the first day of classes. We understand how this transitionary period between high school and college is exhilarating, exciting, and concerning all at the same time. Flight School provides students more time to make new friends, settle in and learn the mission and core values of OLLU, and of course, explore the marvelous attractions of the world-renowned city of San Antonio!
CDP Social Justice Living-Learning Community
The CDP Social Justice Living-Learning Community (LLC) is a program in which freshmen, who are interested in engaging in conversations around social justice issues, live together in a community, enjoy fun and spiritually-enriching activities outside the classroom. By joining the CDP Social Justice LLC, you will get to move into the residence halls early, and you'll connect with a group of students from different majors and different walks of life who share your interest in social justice.
Honors Program Living-Learning Community
The OLLU Honors Program Living-Learning Community (LLC) is an option for first-year students in the Honors Program, offering a strong network of support and connection through scholarship and service. By becoming a member of the Honors LLC, students will develop a greater sense of belonging in an environment that encourages them to think more critically and to gain deeper knowledge. They will open their minds to new ideas, perspectives and experiences, and will create a sense of connection through scholarship, service and fellowship.
NSF LSAMP Program
The purpose of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program is to help increase diversity in the STEM workforce by increasing the number of baccalaureate and graduate degrees produced in the nation. This goal is achieved through transformative undergraduate STEM education, programmatic support to increase retention and persistence, and increased participation in research activities.
TExAS FAST Scholars Program
The TExAS FAST (Texas Experiential Learning and Scholarship program for Food and Agricultural Science Training) Academic Scholarship Program awards up to $5,000 per year to incoming freshman or rising sophomores with unmet financial need who are majoring OR minoring in Environmental Science and Sustainability.
SOAR Kinesiology Summer Program
The four-day SOAR Kinesiology Summer Program provides the opportunity for incoming freshman students to kickstart their academic journey within Kinesiology. The transition from high school to college can be very exciting and at the same time very difficult for some. The SOAR program allows students to make new friends, help understand their new expectations, and feel part of the OLLU family from their first day on campus. With the support of student mentors and knowledgeable faculty and staff, the SOAR Kinesiology Summer program will have students prepared and ready to SOAR from day one!
