Social Work Services
The OLLU Salud Center is home to a training program for Social Work majors and students in social service/counseling majors. Under supervision, the students serve as interns and provide social work services for the community. The following types of services are offered:
Referrals and Resources: Clients can schedule an initial appointment with our Social Work Interns to complete a psychosocial assessment and determine what needs they might have that the center can support.
Case Management: Social Work Interns will provide ongoing case management either by scheduling face-to-face appointments, phone calls, virtual appointments, or email communications to continue working with clients as they provide them with resources and referrals.
Emotional Support: Trained Graduate Social Work Interns will be available to provide emotional support sessions if requested.
Advocacy: Social Work Interns will provide advocacy for clients who need such a service. This refers to the act of promoting and supporting the rights and well being of individuals, groups, communities, if this is something that clients need.
