Vice President for Advancement

Dr. Victoria Pineda is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE,) with more than 20 years of professional development experience, fifteen of which have been dedicated to fundraising for higher education. She is responsible for more than 100 million dollars of individual donations to various universities and nonprofits. Victoria has in-depth experience in strategic planning and stewardship, and she understands the giving climate within Texas and New Mexico as well as throughout the Western United States.

Victoria holds an undergraduate degree and master’s degree, both from St. Edward’s University, and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University. Victoria says, “I believe that a love of people, philanthropy, community, and a high-quality experience with a brand should be common practice in higher education.” 

Victoria is a recent transplant from El Paso; she is wife to Richard and mother to Francesca Rose, 8. She was recruited by Our Lady of The Lake University in April of 2024 to refocus the advancement office’s efforts. Her love of higher education and philanthropy provide the energy that keeps driving her toward excellence!

Outside Interests

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Pineda serves on the board of the SAISD Foundation, where she is intently focused on their development efforts. She is also a professional auctioneer, licensed in 14 states. She auctions in 39 cities, has conducted 700+ auctions for nonprofits, and has raised over $52.5M for various organizations via live auction. She lives life with a spirit of joy and celebration in all things and loves creating an aura of festivity and community in her home for her loved ones.
