Vice President for Student Affairs

Jennifer Bendele serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). With over 26 years of experience in higher education and 22 years at OLLU, she has shown to be a strong advocate for holistic student development connected to the university’s mission.  As a proud first-generation college student, Mrs. Bendele believes every student’s journey is unique and takes pride in fostering an environment where students feel seen, heard, and supported in every aspect of their university experience.  She took advantage of multiple university services and involvement opportunities when she was an undergraduate student.  She enjoyed those experiences, saw the value in university connections, and was thankful for the time her mentors invested in her, which then inspired her vocation in higher education.

In her role, Jennifer Bendele is dedicated to enriching the student experience and fostering a supportive, inclusive campus community. She oversees a range of student support services and programs designed to empower students to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and personally on their way to degree completion.

Outside Interests

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Mrs. Bendele enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, volunteering in her community, and traveling.
