Impact of OLLU: OLLU has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, make new friends and get a high-quality education with awesome professors. Also, being part of the tennis team was a blessing and I would not trade it for anything. I knew since the beginning it was not going to be easy, since I came from Brazil, and I would have a totally different lifestyle that I was not used to. However, the environment OLLU provided me made this transition much more natural and easier. My teammates and my best friends at OLLU made me feel at home and I can say they were my second family over here. 

An important lesson learned: I believe the biggest lesson I’ve learned during these four years of college is that the only way to grow as a person in life is when you put yourself out of your comfort zone and face your weaknesses with no hesitation. We must fail many times to find a correct way to do things we are not comfortable with. Studying and playing at OLLU gave me the chance to face all my fears and difficulties in the best way possible, which shaped me to be the person I am today! 

Plans for the future: I hope to use everything I’ve learned in my future career, and my goal is to be part of an investment bank and continue to apply my knowledge to have a life I’ve always dreamed of! I will be moving to New York in June to work at Larchmont Yacht Club as a finance manager of the tennis program of the club. I believe it’s going to be an amazing experience and hopefully I can continue learning new things and getting new experiences that will be useful for my future career as well!
