Orientation for first-year students now open

The OLLU community is excited to help our new first-year, undergraduate students prepare for their start at the university with an orientation program that is packed with resources and paths for success. Whether you’re a first-year student coming from high school or transferring from another institution, our two-part orientation which includes Lake Day Orientation and Camp Blue Nation will help you get ready for your time at OLLU.
All incoming freshmen and transfer students are required to attend one of our Lake Day Orientation dates in addition to Camp Blue Nation.
Part 1: Lake Day Orientation
Students can select from the following dates:
- June 13
- June 24
- July 12
- July 20
- Aug. 15
Lake Day Orientation (LDO) is a full-day program designed to introduce students and their families to what life is like at OLLU.
At LDO, you will:
- Make connections with faculty, staff, upperclassman, and other incoming students
- Learn about the OLLU mission and culture
- Learn more about OLLU’s support services
- Talk directly with your professors and learn about the requirements of your intended majors and minors
- Have multiple opportunities to have any financial and advising questions answered
Part 2: Camp Blue Nation
Camp Blue Nation is a two-day program designed to ensure all new incoming students
are ready for their first day, semester, and year at OLLU. It takes place right before
classes start on Aug. 16-17, 2024.
