U.S. News & World Report has ranked OLLU among the top universities in the nation for the social mobility of its graduates. OLLU is No. 11 in Texas and No. 61 in the nation according to the 2024 College Rankings.

The U.S. News' social mobility ranking considers Pell Grant and first-generation graduation rates as factors.

According to U.S. News, “Some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of students awarded with Pell Grants. The vast majority of these federal grants are awarded to students whose adjusted gross family incomes are under $50,000.”
