Janelle Lopez (MBA 2012) has been named Chief Operating Officer at Methodist Hospital | Texsan. Presently the Associate Chief Operating Officer at Methodist Hospital | Methodist Children’s Hospital, Lopez begins her new assignment on April 4.

She started at the hospital in 2007 as an ICU resident nurse. After earning her MBA in Health Care Administration, Lopez received numerous promotions. In 2020, she was instrumental in leading and opening a COVID unit at Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Hospital to assist with the pandemic and serve that patient population.  

“I feel humbled and blessed to be given this opportunity,” Lopez said. “I never imagined that this was my career path but realized anything is possible when you believe in yourself. I look forward to making an impact on a large scale, empowering and mentoring future leaders.

“I look forward to working with a great team at Texsan that takes a lot of ownership and pride in serving our people, our community and our mission.”
