Texas Online Colleges has ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) No. 14 among the most military friendly online colleges in the state.
OLLU was one of two schools in San Antonio to make the ranking. The university was cited for having eight online programs and 33 percent of its students fully enrolled in online classes.
Texas Online Colleges only considered schools that met five criteria for military services: Yellow Ribbon Program participation, credit opportunities for military training and experience, having a student veterans organization or resource center, being a dedicated military contact point and being recognized as a Service member Opportunity College.
“Military members and veterans work hard in all sorts of roles to support the nation’s military and security,” Texas Online Colleges wrote. “Many colleges recognize this and offer unique benefits for military students and their families, including grants, discounts, experiential credit, resources and support, and career placement assistance.
Rankings were based on student-to-faculty ratios, the number of online programs offered, the percentage of online students enrolled, graduation rates, retention rates and other factors.
