OLLU Master of Business Administration (MBA) student Michael Garcia (BBA 2018) has received the White House President’s Volunteer Service Award for the sixth consecutive year, an OLLU record. He completed 102.25 community service hours for the 2019-20 academic year.
“Last year, I became the first OLLU student to receive five consecutive presidential awards and the first to receive a gold medal award,” Garcia said. “This year, I broke my own record.”
Since 2014, Garcia has completed 807.5 community service hours, first as an OLLU undergraduate student and now as a graduate student. He is scheduled to earn his MBA in May 2021.
